I don't think it will be go that far .To compare him with Hitler is far overdone.

To me the mine stripping technic is a dirty way to produce oil from bitumen.I saw a movie once and it looks like a moon landscape.THe SAGD is a more proper way and maybe there will be better ways in the future.

When I was a kid , I lived near an industrial zone and when we rode to school all the air around the canal here was pollutted.and there were cheminies with huge smoke clouds everywhere.Even the water was so dirt that no fish could live in it.Under pressure from people around here they made new rules for smoke and dust + water pollution.Now this tme smoke is almost gone and the water is clear again and plenty of fish.

So I don't think that the oil sands industry will be gone but will go ahead maybe with new technics.

Though I'm also invested in an oil sand company doen't mean I'm only thinking about making money .That's to simple thinking .Some responsibillity against others is a nice human rule.Companies if they will they can produce on a clean manner .The fact CLL has got the approval is a sign their SAGD is ok for government.
