The Globe and Mail article this morning re. Nortel says, "While the volume of short selling is high, remember that Nortel has traded below $1 for some time, so this final fall doesn't make for a huge score. And part of the short position in Nortel reflects an arbitrage position – investors would buy debentures and short the stock. Filing for creditor protection may hurt investors who own Nortel bonds."

Interesting. And CLL's debentures ... ?
