Not many posts these days is it because of the the holidays or is everyone just shellshocked. Actually for me it is business as usual, Xmas is no holiday here.

My guess is that the reporting requirements could help Connacher in the PR department a bit and even ultimately boost their NAV but I really don't think that it will change the perception of any company who may be eyeing Connacher as a takeover target. I am sure they will be well aware already of any underlying resources there which Connacher may not be able to report because of the current requirements.

I see there are a few comments about the decision by management to delay ALGAR some taking the side of management and others disagreeing with the decision. I must say that I see the reasons for the decision but my optimistic side makes me think the decision is premature and we could have carried on so I have to (for now) side with the disagreeers (three 'e' s in that word? must be pi$$ed). Anyway it is my belief that we could see an oil revival sooner rather than later and we don't need $100 oil just yet to carry on. Survival may be the name of the game but at least I think we could have seen what the New Year brings before making any rash decisions. Surely it is not an easy task to reassemble such a competent team at short notice. Anyway I am not managing the company and so far I have not been disapointed in any of the managements decisions so I guess we should bear with them and give the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps we should have a vote and see who agrees and disagrees with the decision I would certainly be interested to know how the majority feels.
