As it is the day before Christmas, I will attempt to be kind.

First of all, you replied to a post which was discussing the possiblity of the Alberta Government assisting the Alberta oil patch.

For some reason, you brought in the Federal Government and then made some inaccurate statements with regard to Alberta sharing oil patch resources with the rest of Canada.

For your information, if you are Canadian, you have already benefitted greatly from the oil patch resources in Alberta. Through normal federal taxation, (royalties), you as a Canadian, have received considerable benefits from Alberta's good fortune. Also, through equalization grants, all provinces with the exception of Ontario, (up until now) have also received hundreds of millions of dollars in benefits from Alberta.

As I was born in, and grew up in Ontario, and now live in Alberta, I can see both sides of this situation.

Because of its good fortune, Alberta has contributed more to other Canadians than any other Province in Canada.

It is extremely sad that people like yourself have not appreciated what they have already received from Alberta.
