About this
It will take time to slow down POD1 production and double that time to bring it back to full production. Sounds like the process can takes weeks and this is a new area of study as a SAGD operational has not been "mothballed" before. They are modeling the best scenario in order to protect the reservoirs and progress to date.
8. CLL are "nimble" and are probably the first bitumen producer to start to slow down production, and will probably be one of the first to start up when bitumen pricing and the upgrader situation are resolved.
Considering the items put here from CC the decission is maybe a good one .Maybe one risk involved is they are the first one to do such an action so far.
So is this not a risk for the operation and the output later. If they slow down they had to increase it when things get better but that will cost energy and extra NG and probably SOR will get worser?
What do the guys who worked in SAGD operations think about that.Could it be a big risk to slow down and putting later output at risk or not? What about the energy cost again to improve to 10.000 later on ?
