That's an excellent question aeon. Shytshow posts good information but never indicates how we can find the same.
I honestly appreciate the issues and concerns the ERCB has to deal with. The problem I have is, there isn't any visibility. Where are the metrics? Where are the timelines? How long did it take last year to get a response versus this year to get a response? Are the issues more difficult to respond to? What are the issues? What questions are being raised? Are there staffing problems with ERCB/Cabinet, or are there issues not being disclosed?
Supposedly Algar has been approved and we're awaiting Cabinet authorization. Is that true? Where is the paper trail? Does anyone have an answer aside from the reference to verbal assurance Algar had been approved by ERCB? I know the answer ... No. This is total BS. Where is the holdup? Who do we need to contact to express our concerns?
Sorry but this is really starting to stink. Why is everything (with this process) in the Alberta government a secret? Seriously ... there should be metrics for the public. Projects start to finish, how many delayed, how many recommended improvements (to the credit of the ERCB), how long average processes run, and etc. Who is responsible for managing these business metrics?
Just blowing off some steam.
