I notice by the discussion that some might wish to get another opinion as to where the world is with regard to the financial crisis.

I'm going to include a link, but I am not recommending any of the advertising that may or may not come with it.

A number of you probably receive John Mauldin's newsletter. It's called Thoughts from the Frontline. John has been predicting what is presently happening for a couple of years now.

Also, I notice that John was selected as the second best investor behind Warren Buffet this past year in an open competition.

I'm going to indicate a link to a site called SafeHaven Preservation of Capital where John's article is posted. As you will see, the site has archived in excess of 11,000 other articles by different people.

You'll notice that John's knowledge of the world of finance is complete and for those of you who take the time to read John's article, you will be that much better informed as to where we are now. The name of his article is "The Curve in the Road".

In retrospect, I perhaps should have been reading John every week, however, I probably thought that I didn't need the macro picture of world economics that frequently.

I would comment that many of the other writers on SafeHaven are "Goldbugs, Bulls, Bears, etc. etc." so be careful what you read.
