New short position

Got access to stockwatch, these are the latest short position numbers.

2008-02-15 8,659,123 588,847

2008-01-31 8,070,276 -343,600

2008-01-15 8,413,876 -77,406

2007-12-31 8,491,282 993,844

it would appear that after some covering, the shorts seem to be confident that they won't face a squeeze and are increasing their position in advance of Q4 release.
