The two example you gave me,,well it would be rather irresponsible for me to formulate an oppinion on companies I know nothing about.It is entirely possible for sp to increase as well as the short position depending on the nature of the company.
you're correct, shorts buy on on what they consider a high and hope to go down..However to say that shorts don't intentionaly walk the price down to further their profits is a little naive..Longs walk the price up as well.. The point of walking the price down is to trigger the stops set in place by longs in order to cover and increase profit. Going the other way by longs forces the shorts to sell ( short squeeze) to minimize their losses.
We do agree on one thing, CLL is a good solid stock.It's met all it's goals and for all intensive purposes is a winner.
Actually, the more I look into the stock market it seems to be driven more by opposing strategies than by logic.It's really very fascinating..
Love these discussion as well,,this forum would be gathering dust if all that was discussed was news releases.
