Of course, there is India to consider and the growth that's been going on in China and India; plus elsehwere. If the U.S. goes into recession, it might not affect the energy sector too bad because the customer base has grown a lot in the past years, i.e., there's cars in place of bikes.
Also, with oil being at the recent price, some companies, i.e., utilities and industrials, have been switching to Natural Gas (NG). The companies usually switch when the Oil/NG ratio is near 12 or 13. I might be early in saying so, but, I think by now the market has that priced in. Look at a price chart for NG; and Oil if you wish. Compare them.
The season for warmer weather is approaching; and I always like warm weather, and driving season is later. Anyway. I''m keeping my shares in CLL.
