Multi-Year Extension to Strategic Partnership with Bayer MaterialScience LLC
MARKET WIRE via COMTEX
Toronto, Ont. - September 1, 2010 Conforce International, Inc. ("Conforce" or "Company") (OTC: CFRI) is pleased to announce that it has extended its strategic partnership with Bayer MaterialScience LLC ("Bayer") to March 31, 2014. Bayer is one of the leading global polymer manufacturers with 30 production sites on six continents. Bayer is a division of Bayer AG, a recognized leader in health care, nutrition and the development of advanced materials.
The objective of the partnership remains to enable Conforce and Bayer to leverage their respective strengths as they work toward the successful commercialization of EKO-FLOR. Since February 2009 when the partnership was first established, Conforce and Bayer have developed efficient production processes and best practices in order to transition the Company's single-line development centre into a scalable multi-line operation. The partnership will continue to provide Conforce with key support in the areas of advanced design and material analysis, technical know-how and expertise, and a global material supply chain consistent with the projected volume requirements of EKO-FLOR.
Harry George, Manager New Applications, Polyurethanes, Bayer MaterialScience LLC commented that, "Bayer is very pleased to be part of this industry changing project. EKO-FLOR could possibly transform the future of transportation design and engineering as we know it. Bayer is excited to join Conforce in the next stage of the EKO-FLOR initiative which includes the development of product designs for new applications and scaling up to multi-facility global production capacity. The strategic relationship between Bayer and Conforce has never been stronger."
Conforce President Perry Pearlman added that, "Our relationship with Bayer has been an integral component in the development of EKO-FLOR. Through the collaborative efforts of Conforce and Bayer, we have developed a highly proprietary continuous production process. The next phase in our development will focus on the deployment of this expertise as we establish Conforce production facilities globally".
