Clifton Star Presenting ONLINE Agoracom's Gold and Commodities Conference

posted on Nov 28, 2009 01:02PM

The company will be a Presenter in this upcoming show according to the latest info from Agorcom. The Osisko JV news will be the buzz IMO with the recently announced JV with Osisko. Clifton Star will get a look from many new folks who will start DD after hearing the Clifton Star story during the online conference. Osisko is the BIG news! There's that word again... BIG! When Osisko talks... people listen!!

There are solid reasons that brought Osisko to approach Clifton Star with this JV offer, most of which relate to a syenite porpyhry pumping a robust gold system, along the Porcupine/Destor Fault Zone (PDFZ), in Quebec, a 1 million ounce producer, Beattie/Donchester working as recently as 1991, with over 220,000 ounces of gold above ground in a tailings resource and a growing picture of an open pit mine. Oh ya, a Multiple Million Ounce Ni 43-101 resource estimate, potential to expand to 3-5 Million ounces soon IMO. Explored to a depth of only ~350 meters, with Beattie/Donchester workings developed to 650 meters, intercepts over 700 meters deep at the Duquesne, another past producer within Clifton Star's holdings on the east end of the company's claim block... 8 km along strike of ground held by Clifton Star.

Osisko will be the operator and will be onsite, in ever increasing numbers, the day after the deal closes IMO. Osisko is a close neighbor and focus will be easy for them to bring to bear on the well drilled Clifton Star claims. Remember, there are eight kilometers of nearly contiguous strike length in this segment of the Porcupine/Destor fault in CFO claims, with historical resources and small-scale production along its length. The current multiple million ounce NI 43-101 compliant resource will be/is being updated to look for the first time at Beattie/Donchester, not as an underground mine, but as an open pit mine. The mineralized rock crops out at the surface (the Beattie was the first GOLD discovery along this region of the PDFZ).

The presence of the syenite porphyry assures that this was a robust GOLD system, as has been shown with the drill bit by Clifton Star,

1. new veins/zones located on the south, outside the known settings/occurrences for gold in the District,

2. expanding assay zones in archived core (80% core is unassayed, secured from over a decade of drilling).

3. deep drilling should reveal ore at depth and examination of the system may reveal a gold porphyry deposit exists here, like Malartic IMO. Osisko’s Malartic has a dioritic pluton and a “Gold Porphyry” geologic model, where the Beattie/Donchester syenite intrusion is more felsic, deeper regions may well be more mafic in composition, blue sky. A Beattie/ Donchester Gold Porphyry? We’ll find out soon IMO.

4. one hole drilled deep into the Donchester, oriented towards the core of the intrusion had ore-grade mineralization to ~ twice the depth of the drilled resource zone, more blue sky. This will get real exciting with Osisko drilling at an accelerated pace, which they may do IMO.

For Osisko, its like having a second home to work in, just around the corner... what a deal! The fact the Harry Miller was able to develop this jewel of a property, AND maintain 50% ownership for shareholders, in these days of hostile bids and not so friendly grabs for shareholder value, is a testament to Harry's skill with bringing big financing to companies he has led, $107 million to Clifton Star! This skill also has this deal bringing only a small factor of dilution for CFO shareholders IMO, great news especially when the pre-deal fully diluted count is only around 35 million shares, Osisko has ten times the shares issued and outstanding.

Best thing is, with money in hand to meet option obligations and 50% of deposit still in hand, lots of blue sky remains within this developing story of Clifton Star IMO. Remember this ground had been in private hands until Fred Archibald joined forces with Harry and brought this "sleeper" of a property to the retail investor in Clifton Star. Beattie /Donchester has been a real story for some time, but only for those few private hands, eyes and ears. It is not a new story, just un untold story until Osisko liked what they saw... I think it has to do with the word "BIG"

Not investment advice DYODD and enjoy the presentation on the ONLINE Gold and Commodities Conference. Return to this hub to seek clarifying information, share information, read past posts, look at maps and 3D models. Read the NI 43-101 technical report and resource estimates on SEDAR. The latest MD&A was issued ~ October 2009.

IMO this is the way to do a deal, friendly, with $107 Million and with 50% of the asset still in hand at the end of the day. Thanks Harry, Fred and Laura. Thanks Toby Hansen for including this pick of Laura's and mine twice in your newsletter.
