Message: drill results..

I checked with Harry Miller, he indicated that work is ongoing on all fronts. While he could not be specific, he asked that we be patient that news will be forth-coming as work is completed and can be assembled in clear NRs. The company announced in April that re-evaluation of existing core is underway, this work takes time....

Clifton Star Resources Discovers New Vein Structure in Metasediments South of Syenite Porphyry Complex
APR 29, 2009
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 29, 2009) - Clifton Star Resources, Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CFO)(FRANKFURT:C3T) announces that recent drilling on the Beattie property at Duparquet, Quebec has intersected two new gold mineralized zones that are located south of and parallel to the South Zone which have been drilled at 50 metre centres for a distance of 2400 metres. Vein E and Vein F are located some 80 and 170 metres south of the South Zone. While Vein E coincides with the south contact of the main syenite complex, Vein F is located beyond the syenite complex and into the meta sediments, a departure from conventional wisdom for the area that gold values were only associated with silicified syenite porphyry. Drillhole B09-40 has intersected this vein containing very intense alteration and mineralization between 408.0m and 550.0m. Both veins have been traced for 1400 metres and core samples are currently out for assaying.
"The Company's immediate plans are to drill the west end of the syenite porphyry complex for possible extentions and to evaluate the complex for open-pit (emphasis added) potential. A re-examination of the existing core that has not been analyzed is currently underway to determine unreported values."

IMO the Beattie and Donchester deposits go down to profound depths, as I have posted before. Just look at the model of the drilling in the DD section of this web page and on Clifton Stars website. There is one hole that penetrates the deposit at a near vertical inclination into (I assume) the syenite intrusion. Check out the wide intercepts that are encountered throughout the hole, with mineralized intercepts well below most of the existing drilling. If the ground (syenite) between the known high-grade zones has gold mineralization then the open-pit potential is enhanced IMO. The rock between the high-grade veins would not then significantly dilute the grade of quarried rock from an open-pit mine, if it is mineralized. I think that this solo, deep penetrating hole is strongly suggestive of the possibility that the syenite is mineralized. We shall see, this information is worth waiting for IMO.

IMO patience will be well rewarded. Everyone has to make their own evaluation. I will be glad to pick up more shares from those who cannot see what I infer and decide to sell.

Not investment advice, DYODD, I am long on CFO.
