Clifton Star rock samples examined

"The majority of the sulphide content is pyrite, and the gold is found as
inclusions within the pyrite grains. Generally, gold values will be higher with an increase
in the finer-grained pyrite, and increases proportionally with an enlargement in surface
area of sulphide content." This is a quote from the 43-101 issued July 8, 2008.

I have received rock samples from Goldie 18 who recently visited the Clifton Star properties. I can confirm the presence of sulfides in the 2 samples I received in my first examination of these samples. One sample was a pinkish rock (quartz porphyry ?) that contained partially oxidized, disseminated sulfides. The other sample was a dark gray rock (could be any number of the gold bearing lithologies) that also contained disseminated sulfides. According to the 43-101, gold occurs within sulfide grains and as free gold in the 3rd generation of mineralization.

Fred Archibald told me in Vancouver that the sulfides are typically 2-5%, which is a small amount. This means that if the drills turn up core with contained sulfides, detectable by visual examination, then the chances are high that the assays will reveal gold values.

Let me review the aspects of the CFO properties that are pluses IMO.

1. Proximity to the Porcupine/Destor fault, host of some important gold mines.

2. Fred Archibald has been working these properties for decades and hasn't missed yet in his drill program, He knows the ground here.

3. Large historic mines are located on the properties with no known environmental issues, water clean enough to drink. Goldie reported to me that she drank some of the water that has filled the old workings. No lingering liabilities from past mining activities is huge, IMO.

4. Gold remaining in tailings in significant qualnities. Old mill location contains material from past roasting and milling activities with significant recoverable ounces.

5. A 43-101 that defines a resource close to 1 million ounces.

6. Six core drill turning, with a large backlog of core to be logged, split and sent for assays.

7. Large backlog of samples submitted for assay with no results yet received (not included in the current 43-101 estimate).

8. Intercepts that increase in width as the mineralized structures are explored at increasing depth. (Read what the Quebec government has said about the potential tht resides at depth on these properties, follow link in an earlier post of mine or the link on the Clifton Star website homepage.)

9. Money to be made in the salvage of old mine buildings.

10. New areas of mineralization found in recent drilling and contiguous properties that cover multiple kilometers of the mineralized structures associated with the Porcupine/Destor fault.

Put these things together with a company with a tight share structure and one has a story that is real and attractive.

Not investment advise, do you own DD, visit the company website, read the Quebec government's analysis of the potential of this area at depth, talk with subscribers of OrMetal, Doug Casey and others that have conducted recent reviews of the Clifton Star properties and make up your own mind.

I have not received anything (other than information and friendly interaction) from the CFO people, just my opinion from my own DD.
