The oportunity for Canada is magnified by events in South Africa, the Congo, Australia and bolivia to mention a few. Problem is that a lot of government policy in BC and Ontario have been less than hospitable to mining. Quebec is the bright light in Canada, however, even as dumb as some Ontario policies have been till now, they are overshadowed by the hostile enviroment in other parts of the globe.
Canada should benefit significantly in spite of ourselves. Especially, companies like Cliffs that are comfortable in Canada and have a large presence here. Makes Cliffs attractive to a major who would like a firmer footing in North America.
Outside of managements deft handling of the company in the last year, world events seem to be painting a bullseye on our back.
Does anyone remember the name of the Chinese investment consortium that we partnered with on the FWR deal? How big are they?
This smackdown in the last week will be a pivotal game changer imo. I wish I knew managements take on these events. RR is right! Someone has deep pockets. Do the math on this tree shaking and and the FWR deal becomes paperclip money!
The next two months will require a seatbelt and crash helmet.
good times........................Carry
imo
