Hi Luckylou
You asked....does anyone know if there was a specific event that prompted that shs price.
The Share price was up to $119.19 on June 30 2008 and then by the end of August it headed south and by March 05 2009 it was at $ 13.11.
Going back and leading up to its high point, it seemed that nothing could go wrong in the Market Place. All Commodities were up, Nickel in the twenties, copper, tin, aluminum and yes, Iron Ore up there to.
But then all HELL broke loose, the Markets started to collapse, housing and the Paper it was written on was no longer good.
Others on this and other HUBS could write books about the Market Collapse and numerous versions about it.
But when that happened all Commodities headed south and taking with it The Market, and yes Cliffs was in there to.
The Markets around the world are starting to stabilize again, Commodity Prices are moving up, Iron Ore prices are moving up there to and Cliffs should benefit on this moving forward.
Have a great day
