Today's market action (July 07) certainly supports your position. The fall today has been attributed to the fact that yet another stimulus (bailout) give away will in all probability be needed. Translation: The economy is still very much in the toilet and not likely to get a whole lot better in the near future. I hope the merger happens on a really big up day for the markets.
