I've been contacting the Agoracom folks about this high-school popularity rating system they are using to determine how high one can advance in the board responsibility system Apparently one individual who is unhappy with another board member can continually rate that member as a 1.00 therefore prohibiting them forever from ever reaching the exalted status of VP, Pres., or Hub Leader. I am far too old to be this concerned with this but since I taught statistics and experimental design for 33 years at both the graduate and undergraduate level it does bug the heck out of me to see these guys institute a system which is so obviously and so easily open to abuse. No matter how many 5.00s one gets someone can balance them wtih 1.00s and therefore keep them from reaching the magic 3.00 or 3.50 level. Go figure why I think that I have fallen from 4.00 to 1.60 with only six out of hundreds of fellow board members bothering to rate me at all. I am sure that eventually many of our little friends on RB will surf over here to give us very high ratings indeed (not).
