Camino Rojo Mexico : In-situ - 4.0 million ounces gold; 68.32 million ounces of silver.
not to mention the .7 to 1 strip ratio... this is a cash machine. With a previous high of $5.20 shouldn't the price be closer to that? When this hub was populated with posters last year, some speculated an ultimate value of $12/share and $20/ share.. where are you Texas...Eodway? What do you think Been There? I've been around since the Colby days, Where's the value for my Mom's long held shares? I don't think my dad would believe he is getting fair value with the reverse split the stock took when it became Canplats.
The company has great blue sky with a large prospective claim holding with Cerro Verde japeroid type rocks hosting anomalous gold.
How many shareholders bought in for over $3 / share, where is their premium?
This ground should command a higher price, my God, gold is at record levels! Will there be other bidders? With part of the deposit running onto Fresnillo ground, aren't they interested? I tried to get CPQ together with my friend John Livermore, Mr. Carlin Trend, a legendary explorationist, he was going to talk with them for nothing, just because I asked, but they never contacted him when they said they would. Why not? These rocks area analogous to the Carlin Trend and they found Jasperoid rocks along structures at Cerro Verde with anomalous gold for heavens sake.... why keep this quiet... what are the latest results of property wide exploration which they said they were doing? This information is neccesary for us to make an informed decision about this bid. Why are they holding back? The properties they are spinning off to Newco do not IMO have anywhere near the potential of Cerro Verde. Ounces for cheap and all the blue sky for next to nothing? This isn't even a 2 bagger for me, let alone a home-run. Disappointing is a word that comes to mind.
Not investment advice, I hope this deal gets sweeter! Look at Clifton Star and the Osisko JV announced today. Clifton Star maintains 50% interest in a deal worth $107 million to them... now that deal really enhances shareholder value.
