First, I was a little disappointed seeing recovery rates between 62% and 76%, because I´ve seen many results from other companies exceeding 90%.

But after some DD I found out that for heap leach operations, a 60% - 70% recovery is average, especially for low-grade / high-tonnage oxide ore deposits:

So CPQ compares quite favourably to that and I´m still eager to see the rates for the sulphide material !

After that I looked into Goldcorp´s Penasquito situation and found that their column leach tests from 2007 showed between 59,57% and 65,56% gold recovery (with 1/2" grain size) !

Again, in comparison very good results for CPQ´s initial tests !
