CANPLATS GRANTS STOCK OPTIONS

Canplats Resources Corp. has granted an incentive stock option to an officer of the company, to purchase 50,000 common shares of the company. The option is exercisable for a period of five years at a price of $1.71 per share. The option was granted under and are subject to the terms and conditions of the company's Dec. 10, 2008, stock option plan.
