Nice find and a great read! This interview says a lot about this company we have invested in. They "discovered/staked" Camino Rojo in Spring 2007 and yet made no public NR until they had already done their test pit work and had substantially outlined the surface expression of Represa. This says volumes about the quality of the management of this company AND indicates why we are not seeing NR on a weekly basis, these guys are the "Real Deal", not promoters, same with Represa and prospects for the region, the Real Deal!

Back to diatremes, has anyone wondered at why there is a small lake sitting on top of Represa? In the technical papers I have posted on diatremes, the diatreme models all show that a lake is formed on top of diatreme breccias and the lakes and their attendant pyroclastics deposits are called a "Maar". Another point that is made in the literature is that diatremes are difficult to find because they typically occupy a topographic low (deflation of the breccia pipe), which means they get covered up quickly and are hidden from view and hrd to find.

Because of the regional picture and the announced characteristics of REPRESA from the company, I think Represa is a diatreme. Not working for anyone, I can be bolder in the pronouncements of my view, and I may be wrong.

So why do I point out the small lake at Represa? Well, if the Represa deposit is a diatreme (Penasquito is conclusively, at least in my mind, a diatreme) and the Maar lake is still partially there at Represa, I take that to indicate that the entire diatreme feature is still present, largely uneroded! What flows from that is the sulfide zone exists at depth, just to be confirmed by assays. The fact that RAQ stated that they are finding intrusives in the deep drilling is as large a signal as we will ever get, in advance of assays, from management that the diatreme model applies, with all that that implies. Hopefully news comes soon.
