Hot spring epithermal gold systems have mineralized zones defined by increasing depth inside the hot spring and the minerals deposited. Big hot springs gold deposits leave a big mark, lots of country rock being altered to clay and other minerals while gold is deposited from the eruptions of circulating mineralized fluid, at multiple depths. Hot spring deposits have deep feeders, roots called "bonanza veins", that are like breccia pipes that are often polymetallic and make for some nice potential to epithermal gold systems.

The lead and zinc add an element at Camino Rojo that is new in my experience with epithermal systems. As suggested by a previous poster, and to speculate, in my minds eye, the mineralizing hot fluids may be also coming right off a rising "wet" magma body. This is important because it adds potential of enriched magmatic fluids contributing to the hot epithermal fluids that made this deposit AND indicates a DEEP system. Add limestone and marble at depth, deep Camino Rojo could be a marvel to see at depth, as the conceptual geological model portrays. This is the companies model, not mine, I just came around to see the same conceptual scenario.

The ground is covered by desert pediment and we can only speculate about alteration evidence and the nature of the deposit, which will be revealed over time with drilling and logging. The good news is...

The minimum seems to be what we already have a good first look at; a good sized, dream oxidized bulk-mineable gossan on this system... sweet, easy to mine money. Not a bad position to sit and ponder the depths.
