Canasia Industries Corporation: Drill Permits Granted by Manitoba Government for Reed Lake Prospect
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 2, 2009) - Canasia Industries Corporation (TSX VENTURE:CAJ)(OTCBB:CANSF)(FRANKFURT:... ("Canasia") Canasia Industries Corporation ("Canasia") has been notified by the operator that the Manitoba Government has granted a permit to drill up to 2,000 metres on the Reed Lake prospect. The Reed Lake prospect consists of 199,736 acres. A recent site visit by the operator indicates the two grids totaling 24 line kilometres of line cutting and geophysics are well underway. Drilling is expected to commence within 2-6 six weeks now that the permits have been granted.
Graeme Sewell, a director of Canasia stated, "It is exciting to have this prospect finally coming to a stage when drilling is about to occur. When you look at this area of Manitoba in terms of mines in production, it is a highly productive region as well as the adjoining property returning grades as high 33.46 m of 10.36% Copper, clearly management is optimistic regarding this prospect."
