I had been thinking along those same lines, regarding not starting a bidding war for the land lease availible next to the current lease. But the more I read, the less likely I see this as probable.
1. George Langdon presented at a syposium, that I can only assume , was to his peers. Many companies presented, with a lot talking about the same rock formations and their potential. I think the concensus amongst the chat boards was that he was very positive, without letting the cat out of the bag. In my opinion, if it seemed positive to us, then any competition that saw his presentation, would also take a second look at the availible leases.
2. To acquire a lease, they have to have the highest bid, which from what I can gather, is a work committment to spend x amount of dollars, with a percentage up front as a deposit. My concern is, where is CIVC getting the money to make such a committment, and if they have this kind of money, should'nt it be used to prove up the GP Shales, or sidetrack into the Aguathuna to find the target they initially sought.
I hope that they are honoring the "tight hole" status and that good news is coming from this region. Hopefully it is sometime before their 3 years expire on this lease and that CIVC is still involved. I know a lot of shareholders hate PDIP, but if they could get Garden Hill going, I think it would help our cause.
