This company has had a grey past insofar as a delay in posting Financials and quite a bit of dilution BUT it seems to have reformed itself and openly states on their website:

The recent increase in SP I suspect is because of the two large drilling rigs heading to the PAP property in Newfoundland.  Time will tell with that oil and gas play.
