03:41 PM EDT, 05/16/2018 (MT Newswires) -- Canada Carbon (CCB.TO) said Wednesday the Quebec Court of Appeals rejected a motion from the Municipality of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge to let it to conduct a hydrogeological study of the company's planned Miller graphite mine.

Canada Carbon said the court rejected the municipality's request to appeal the decision of the Superior Court and assigned it costs.

Canada Carbon is fighting the municipality's decision to withdrawal approvals for the graphite mining project on environmental grounds.

The company's shares were up $0.005 to $0.07 at last look on the TSX Venture Exchange.
