CMC Metals Ltd Announces 37,311 grams per tonne Silver Assayed at Silver Hart
5:23 PM ET, September 15, 2009 Sep 15, 2009 (TheNewswire.ca via COMTEX) -- (via Thenewswire.ca)
Vancouver, B.C.: CMC Metals Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that the exploration program at the Silver Hart property has been completed. Approximately 1100 meters were drilled in 16 holes and the core has been sent to the lab for assay. Five of the holes were located on the M zone for infill drilling and 11 in the TM zone to test for at depth continuation of the TM vein system. The purpose of the exploration program was to gather additional data to conduct a NI43-101 resource estimate for the KL, S, and M zones, plus to provide additional data for mine planning in the TM zone. The Company is currently in the process of preparing an updated NI43-101 report which will include the data from these last 16 holes. The Company also conducted a detailed surface trench sampling in the TM pit to dictate the initial first year mining pit quality control. During the trench sampling, two new 30 meter long high grade veins were determined. It was important note that this is the first occurrence of gold being present at the TM zone. The Company is currently conducting sampling of the high grade vein every two meters and will be reporting the XRF indicative results and laboratory assays when available. The following are the highlight laboratory assays from the TM trench samples and the comparative XRF insitu assays as reported on the July 29th news release: ACME Analytical Laboratories Ltd. in Vancouver conducted sample preparation and analysis. Sample analysis was by 7AR and 7AR.1 digest, and analyzed by ICP-ES method. Over limit assays on silver and gold results are by G6 fire assay and gravimetric finish. Standard samples and blanks were used for quality assurance and quality control for sample analysis. Differences in assays reported on the July 29th news release are due to the inherent XRF Niton XL3T Analyser instrumentation error plus the differences between insitu sample analysis versus a homogenized laboratory sample assay. The Company would like to clarify that when reporting results from the XRF Niton XL3T Analyser, the assays are for indicative purposes only and should not be relied upon until comparative lab assays are completed. Widths are horizontal trench widths.
