************************************************************************** CGX ENERGY (V-OYL) $1.14 +0.13 For a change, after weeks of ugliness it’s a decent day on the markets and one little story that continues to attract attention is CGX Energy . We caught up again with company Chairman Kerry Sully who suggests that there is no news to talk about, other than one presentation to brokers in Vancouver and elections being held today in Guyana. As far as rumors, there is nothing new on the Inpex play other than what’s been in the markets for a while...rumors of some sort of success on the up hole and various rumors on the Albian zone which is Inpex’s main target. Sully used to run Ranchmen’s Resources which he sold a long, long time ago and has been in the business all his life, so we ask him what he sees for oil prices going forward.

He figures we are range-bound between $80 and $100
because at $80 and less, many of the expensive oil sands
and shale plays become uneconomic and over $100 there is
so much, you have the reverse. Just so much that becomes
suddenly economic and will be mined, processed or
drilled for.
His crystal ball if he had to use it, suggests $90 for oil
next July 1st and $100 next Christmas, which is a good
range still, for good operators.
As far as the economic mess going on in the world right
now, he suggests, so if there is a little less manufacturing
or a little less cars on the road in Europe, there’s still all
that big increase in demand from other areas of the world.
As far as a stock he would watch, he reminds us he is a
little closer to retirement than many of us, so he finds himself
looking at some more senior stories and the one senior
story that he is absolutely fascinated with is one in his own
neighborhood now and that’s Tullow Oil. There’s talk that
their fan offshore French Guyana is suddenly being described
as a super-fan and that Tullow might have five additional
of these super-fans. He suggests Tullow might yet
be one of the stories of the day.
It’s amazing the success Tullow has had over the last
few years, offshore Guyana in Africa and putting the theory
together that where Africa and South America were joined,
meant that area of South America (where CGX is) simply
has decent odds of big success in the Guyana Basin.
