Ah yes, the nostalgia of it all. I remember those days well ...
The decision to invest in a high risk/high reward exploration play for the first time. The drill finally arriving on site. The slowly appreciating stock price. The anticipation of what might be ... the rude awakening on seeing the gunboat incident reported in the Toronto Star, the sudden crash in the stock price, the slow, long process of arbitration. Sigh. Memories.
Funny how, after all these years, it seems like only yesterday. Funny too, how the anticipation of what might be, this time around, is different. It's quieter. Maybe more mature. Maybe more reserved. But it's more confident too.
Maybe it's the difference between a 10 year old opening a Christmas gift kind of anticipation, and a 50 year old sitting in a newly purchased car kind of joy. It's more subdued, but you just KNOW it's going to last a lot longer!
