Drilling in 2010 was certainly the impression that was originally given, and the commitment that was made to the government. However, the statement:
"We are preparing to drill two wells during the next year on our Georgetown (25%) and Coretyne (100%) licenses" implies a less certain window for this year.
Also, there is a new presentation posted on the CGX website, dated May 10th. It is a Presentation to the Calgary Chapter of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators. Although mainly focussed on the gun boat incident and the aftermath, it repeats the statement on page 2 that 2 wells will be drilled in the next 12 months. If one well were to be drilled beginning in 2010, would they not have indicated that? There are only 7 months left in the year.
I'm pretty sure we'll see a confirmation next month that the schedule has been slightly adjusted. No matter - I'm in. In fact, with the recent weakness in price, I am in far more than I was a few weeks ago.
