I think your statement that any action (funding) regarding SFMI will not occur until the GHDC puzzle pieces are in place is right on. The new guys in GHDC will wait until after their role in GHDC is official to take any action re SFMI, and I also assume any other players (AS) will also wait until everything is in place.

As to MM games, what is needed to prevent a downward paint is a reasonably sized bid entered just under the ask in plenty of time for it to be posted. That way, the MM can't paint it way down selling $5 worth of stock. Appreciate your buys at the end of the day, but you might consider putting them in earlier so the MM can't ignore them. And maybe even divvy up the buy, part at ask and another chunk just below to keep the MMs from doing their art work.
