All three zones are extensive (hundreds of metres) and consistently anomalous in the gold values of samples collected. Geological data suggest that they are hosted by tightly folded anticlinal structures. Bowmore intends to complete a high-resolution airborne survey over the core of the St-Victor property and drill-test the main three zones in late fall 2010. The other three zones of interest (Gerard, Marc and Boissonneault) remain open and require follow-up sampling.
Mr. Paul Dumas, President and CEO of Bowmore, stated: "These initial results are very encouraging and confirm the potential for low-grade, bulk-tonnage gold deposits in the Quebec Appalachians. The potential for world-class, sediment-hosted gold deposits has largely been ignored in this part of Canada, and we intend to aggressively pursue our gold exploration program in this region that was historically mined for asbestos".
