(...) Blaine Webster's Goldeye Explorations Ltd. (GGY) remained unchanged at 13 cents on 86,000 shares. The company, which has taken its dog-and-pony show to Thunder Bay this week, has named Richard Nemis as an adviser. Mr. Nemis is the chairman emeritus of Noront Resources Ltd. (NOT: $0.50), which he founded and promoted to a high of $7 in 2007. Noront's stock dropped to $1 in the market downturn of 2008, and Mr. Nemis was ousted by a group of unhappy shareholders. He previoulsy served on Goldeye's board, from 1996 to 2012, before stepping down to focus on his other company, Bold Ventures Inc. (BOL: $0.07). Mr. Nemis is still president of Bold, but he also wants to help Goldeye explore at its Weebigee gold property in Northern Ontario. Goldeye completed a Weebigee winter drill program last week, and expects to release assays shortly. The company used to call the project Sandy Lake, but last summer it started calling it Weebigee, the Ojibway word for goldeye, in hopes of pleasing the local Indian bands. It worked. Last November, the Sandy Lake First Nation agreed to let the company explore in peace though 2019; they also asked for 1.5 million Goldeye shares. (...)
