Edit this title from the Fast Facts Section
By way of an update on Blue Sky, we released news regarding the results from the first 50 drill holes on the ANIT project and they averaged 0.03% U3O8 with an average thickness of 2.73 meters over 3.5 km. This is only the beginning of the exploration work to evaluation the entire property. The mineralization is contained within a gravel matrix in the fine sands. Initial drilling was successful however we believe that due to a loss some of the fine sands during drilling that the drills might be under reporting the grades. Trenching and pit sampling are believed to be a more representative sampling method and returned grades almost 50% higher than reported in the drilling. The nature of mineralization is somewhat erratic so the larger sample size achieved in pitting and trenching verses drilling might also explain the lower grades reported in drilling.
The drill rig is being modified and will return to the field within two weeks and at that time we will begin a program that will include drilling, pitting and trenching to determine the best sampling method (at this point we expect that trenching will prove to be the best). Once the best method is found we will focus our program around this for our ongoing exploration.
There are currently 50 drill holes in the lab that are expected to be announced within two weeks and while we have taken steps to correct the drilling method the issue of low recovery is likely in these drill holes. Further news is expected on a regular basis reporting on our field work on ANIT as well as on our regional exploration plans.
