I have been pretty quiet here, but I have read most of the recent posts. I have also followed a number of biotech R&D companies for years, and in a lot of ways Biocurex fits the mold of: lots of promise, but can't deliver and will eventually be sold off for pennies on the dollar.
However, the fact that Inverness and Abbott have "agreements" is significant to say the least. Furthermore, if the results Biocurex claims are accurate...the implications for this technology are staggering. I really think it would dwarf the impact that a company like Genentech has had on oncology, or Dendreon might have in the future, and yet look at the market interest they command. So why does there appear to be so little interest in Biocurex's stock if data is out there?
Either:
- this is the best kept secret in the world
- there is something about the Abbott and Inverness agreements that is misleading (I seem to recall that the specifics of those agreements have not been made public yet), and those players took a small gamble but really are not adequately impressed with the data thus far (weak or less credible researchers?).
- this is another Bre-X
I doubt it is number 3, unless Dr Moro is about to fake his death and skip town.
I doubt it is number 1 (although I hope it is), because insiders always seem to leak info leading to activity.
So I can't help but lean toward number 2? I guess only time will tell, as that info gets divulged.
Consider me as somebody relatively new who is trying to sift through the news/posts to come up with a rational explanation. If I have missed something or I am too naive, please fire away.
