There are trillions of reasons to screen the general population for cancer. Who else has a system or marker that can inexpensively screen the general population? I don't know of any that can.
They have tried xrays, CT's, Pap smears, mammograms and others but they all have problematic issues with high false positives or false negatives.
Health care costs are exponentially elevated when a member of the group comes down with cancer. Why?
