In Touch Tuesday
November 24, 2009
Dear Shareholders,
BioCentric Energy would like to welcome you to our monthly In Touch Tuesday Newsletter. We look forward to sharing our latest and greatest innovations, providing updates on our closed-loop photobioreactor systems, and sharing information on the profitable solutions that can be quickly obtained from growing and harvesting algae. BioCentric Energy is currently in the final stages of completing its commercial ready, closed-loop photobioreactor system. With only a few more tweaks, the anticipated launch for the first BioCentric Energy system will be in the first quarter of 2010.
Working daily at the BioCentric Energy headquarters, located in Orange County, California, you will find an expert team of engineers, site managers and technicians, all committed to ensuring the highest quality and functionality of BioCentric Energy's low-cost, closed-loop system. Our team of scientists located in the Czech Republic, are busy researching the vast amount of algae strains, the growth rates and the multitude of environmental, nutritional, heath and beauty benefits that are found in algae.
At BioCentric Energy, we are committed to delivering the highest quality and the lowest cost closed-loop photobioreactor systems, as well as profitable solutions that will positively impact our world.

Current Research Projects by the BioCentric Energy Czech Republic Division ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Proprietary Strain Development With a myriad of potential markets that can utilize algae, we are researching individual algae strains that can provide the maximum benefits for each unique market.
Omega-3 Fatty Acids
We are focusing on the many algae strains with high productivity of omega-3 fatty acids and the optimization of cultivation conditions. We are developing proprietary extraction procedures and preparation of Nutraceuticals based on Omega-3.
Thermophilic Properties
We are monitoring the increased algae growth rates at high temperatures.
Natural Colorants for Cosmetics
We are exploring the microalgae based pigments, such as Phycocyanin extracted from Spirulina platensis, that are gaining importance over synthetic colors as they are nontoxic and non-carcinogenic. Next to its colorant properties, Phycocyanin has a wide range of heath benefits, making it a suitable active ingredient for a variety of cosmeceutical products.
Greenhouse Gas Reduction
We are researching the technologies for micro-algal cultivation that have been studied in the context of greenhouse gas mitigation. Utilization of CO2 in flue gases from various sources by means of microalgae reduce the impact of green-house gas on the environment and makes the production of algal biomass cost effective.
Algae as Animal Feed
We are learning how to perfect microalgae as a feed additive that could prove to be the best choice for solving problems associated with the use of antibiotics, organic acids and other chemical ingredients in feed.
Algae GreenEnergy Project
We are researching EcoFuel complex technology of waste biomass utilization in the sequence: animal manure / stillage - biogas - cogeneration of heat and electric power - algae production.
