Thanks Agoracom rep for the reply, much appreciated and good to hear the additional comments above. Are those Agoracom's words above or directly from Bell? I've got some further thoughts/queries/questions, you name it...
Do you have a name/picture for us to relate to when conversing and asking questions (much like George/Paul signing off...plus having their GT/PK initials attached to the end of Agoracom), it would be nice to have a more personalized communication with you reps. Splitting hairs perhaps, but still, please pass it on to George/Paul for their thoughts etc; we never know who we're actually talking to seeing how it's a generic Agoracom sign off handle (perhaps we might need to backtrack on who we actually talked to for referencing purposes down the stretch).
Of course, that question i asked (re: court order) was was just a wake up call to see if you folks were indeed behind the scenes. Not sure why Bell never put it in print, transparency works wonders now doesn't it? Good stuff, we appreciate the quick response and i realize it won't be like that each and every time. I also realize further bugging might be required if the questions build up or if Bell has some selective hearing/answering problems (or perhaps Agoracom has been told in a quiet way to let the question die off in getting buried via the hub).
Can you enlighten us of how the process works when asking a question, do you send our whole post in its entirety to Bell or do you re-paraphrase it to make some of them clearer? Do you cut any parts out? Just wondering. Also, who on the other end of Bell will be the main responder? Their internal IR staff, their CFO, their CEO, geologists...who...a mixed bag? Does it have to do with the type of question asked? Do you blend in a few Agoracom comments as well? (ie. such as the above in bold italics). Many questions, but hey, you're our flow to management as they've made their own bed in choosing Agoracom with a price tag to boot. I initially was sour on the whole thing but the more i've dug into Agoracom the more i come away that a smart decision has been made...time will most certainly tell.
Carrying on...the 600,000 options (40 cents pre-merger...post merger 0.80 cents) offered to Agoracom for their services, is there an expiration date imposed to exercise these options (good for how long?) and how much time are you required to serve before exercising even one of these options? I don't see any timelines stated in the initial Agcom NR. I've also heard that Agcom will give a grace period of 1 full year before exercising these options, is that written in stone? Can you concur as i don't see any reference attached in the NR. Will Agoracom's options be listed at Sedi so us retail chumps can keep track?
This is a bit off topic but pertains to the Bell story and client hubs, please don't delete my posting. I've gone thru some very interesting past dialogue over on the Noront hub (NOT) these past few days and see Agoracom prez George stepped into the ring (morning of April 23rd to the 25th) to straighten that hub out (as he should), i found some of the comments very enlightening with all parties interests involved. Hmmm, Noront isn't a young pup anymore with stricter guidelines coming to roost, hence why it appears to have garnished more attention in being closely monitored by the TSX regulators, the company, and Agoracom - kind of a good problem to have if you were in that play early.
I suggest to those Bell threaders who are serious about using this client hub to our advantage, to make the time to backtrack on the Noront board (you'll get a good taste of the tone), George did an exceptional job in explaining the rulebook as it sure is a very fine line in the sand - which is actually good for all our best interests the more one thinks about it. Read GT's post anyways as there are a ton of posts to wade thru (click 'company post' on left hand side). I should take his advice but it's hard to know at times of the material issues at hand. I did backtrack to the beginning of the Noront Agoracom questions & answers to get a feel for how to approach you reps with future questions once this Bell hub gets in serious motion (fingies crossed), there were some good quality questions and lotza repetitive stuff (ie. "when's RN going on BNN"). The tightening down of the latches sure pizzed a few folks off. It all started i believe, if i caught the story correctly, with a poster by the name of glorieux and a conversation between management with this poster bringing it onto the board as an update per say....only to get this post shelved by Agoracom and the higher powers to be. GT stepped in taking the time explaining the regulations etc; a definite learning curve so it seems for the company and investors. Anyways, just thought i'd share that over here as thorny issues are the norm it seems, it really all depends if Bell will be compliant in being a more transparent company once we have a live BCU ticker, they've certainly kept us in the dark since announcing the merger.
Anyways...Agoracom is improving slowly but surely with extra features implemented, my biggie, as Paul knows this in our talks here in Calgary at the Cambridge show, is to be able to surf thru numerous postings all on one page with a button/link provided. As in 10 at a time like Silicon Investor and IHub have implemented, even more would be better...SI/IH do charge for this option but i'm sure Agcom can implement the software needed. This then eliminates the need to click the "next message" button only to wade thru numerous postings (ie. "go Bell!...anyone have level 2...RTQ's at__eom" ...you catch my drift) in reaching them hidden treasure quality postings. The Noront board is actually the best example of having to wade thru many posts to follow the storyline. We all lead busy lives this day and age so it seems with everyone gotten themselves in a big ol' hurry, so to be able to click a button to see numerous posts laid out would be just awesome. Agcom rep, any updates in that regard from Paul and team?
Another one is to have the option to save your favorite posters. We all have different uses with these hubs and to track the quality over the quantity of postings is something to be implemented which makes it a much more pleasant experience. A moving target with all these requests/changes i realize and hopefully you'll get it just right in time. Plus, it would be nice to see how many ignores a poster has (big ignore numbers tells the immediate story on the poster versus the average rating with the stars), that way it's a quick observation whether to take them serious or to also put them on ignore after checking a bit of their posting history. These little 'add ons' go a long ways...
Btw, did you guys notice that Goldilock had a post disappear off this thread a few days or so back. Did i see that right or was i seeing things Agrep? It appeared to be a slight pump booted out? (ie. exactly what i mean by quality in the posting arena kicking butt over a quantity of postings)
To further expand on some thoughts, i could care less if someone shows a prez status that clearly doesn't deserve this rank, if their posts are chit and they get that title by pumping out quantity versus quality, that is a misrepresentation of the facts imvho. I know the votes play a part as well and they'll fluctuate. For example, a poster such as mesa that has done the one and only grand appearance over here (so far), has not posted much on SH over a very long period of time (member since 1997), but when he does post, you certainly sit up and listen. Does that mean he doesn't deserve a prez status? In short, no. It's absurd that over on stockhouse you can rate yourself, good to see Agcom has got a handle on this issue over here.
I should also state, there is nothing wrong in having some constructive civil criticism to bring a balance into the posting arena to compliment those that wear rose coloured glasses all the time. This balance is what makes these forums work and also sheds light on the company being a bit more transparent with us retailers - there are two sides to every coin.
In closing, these threads are a great investment tool if we're able to use them in an efficient manner without all the daily trash to wade thru. Good job so far Agoracom and i realize you're building something of value here for the long term, please keep on listening to us small frys to make your site a much better place to visit. The mainstream quality herd of investors will eventually flow over from alias infested bashing/pumping sites like stockhouse in time - as long as you monitor your hubs closely you'll do just fine imvho. With these client ones like Bell, extra due care and attention should be taken into consideration (for all parties), as they've paid bucks to have Agoracom as their main IR dude serving the shareholders & company best interests (this is their 3rd kick at the can so to speak, although i'm sure BMI served their purpose).
One last thing, i have met management here in Calgary at the Cambridge show (BL, GP, DD, SG) and have posted about it over at stockhouse, a sincere bunch and by no means am i here to bash the company, but i will call a spade a spade if need be in wanting more details fleshed out for us retailers. They also know who i post under so i haven't gone into hiding under an alias, not by any means. Transparency is the key. Looking forward to the merger finally being out of the way so Bell can get on with advancing their exceptional portfolio of properties...
Cheers and thanks for reading/listening folks, i certainly can be long winded at times!
