Pillowspock...
With all due respect...you say you've been in the game awhile yourself...but none of what you say suggests you've got the experience that comes with years in the markets...namely, a few haircuts at the hands of some of the unscrupulous people that frequent these markets.
I've been investing in penny stocks for about 23 years...how about you? How long is "awhile"?....2 years, 3 maybe 5? I was even a broker for a few years before getting out of the industry; realizing very soon the questionable nature of the way business is done and the significant number of conflicts of interest that a broker faces...
The bulk of these public companies are run out of offices...do you really think that management of publically traded companies won't lie to you because you know where they work? lol...In fact...a lot of them are so good at it I'll bet they could even fool the ol' FBI lie detectors themselves...Seriously, if that's the way you think you're pretty naive! Hopefully, you learn like the rest of us without taking too much of a financial haircut in the process...
.. promote their product...yes...but do you know how many companies play the "closeology game" they acquire land next to adjacent discoveries...play the pump...and dump their incentive options? It happens more frequently than most would like to admit...I see companies where management trades it own stock...frequently buying and selling. Some even head up a few companies to get the additional salaries options etc...
It can be a very parasitic game...and some times the investors get lucky...they hit a big one, which makes up for some of the crap they've dealt with...That why DD is vital to improve the odds.
I'm in this because the "truth machine"..a.k.a...the drill...struck a decent intercept...80+ meters of 5 grams/t is a solid hole...and that's across an approx. 80% true width...When you hit something like that chances are...you're on to something. I don't care about management and I try to take as much of the emotion out of the decision making as possible...
So you might want to reanalyze your idealistic philosophies as it is not a level playing field...You roll the dice...you take your chances...just make sure you know what game you're playing before you roll...
