Bayfield Acquires Two New Properties in Northwestern Ontario
Vancouver, BC - Bayfield Ventures Corp. (TSX-V: BYV) (FWB: B4N) (the "Company") announces that it has acquired two properties located in the Sioux Lookout District of Northwestern Ontario. The Company had these properties staked in June 2009 and owns 100% of the claims with no encumbrances.

The Gold Creek property comprises 2 claim blocks totaling 32 units (520 hectares) and is located 130 kilometres north of the community of Sioux Lookout and approximately 6 kilometres northwest of the former producing Golden Patricia Mine which produced 860,000 tonnes grading 19.9 grams/tonne gold (0.58 oz/tonne gold).

The Gold Creek property covers an area where high-grade gold float has been reliably reported. The property is underlain by a major regional shear. A strong airborne electromagnetic anomaly occurs near the reported float. Immediate follow-up on this property will include prospecting, till sampling and geophysics. An exploration program is expected to commence mid July.

The Drum Lake property comprises 2 claim blocks totaling 32 units (520 hectares). It is located approximately 10 kilometres south-southwest of the past gold producing Golden Patricia Mine.

The Drum Lake property covers ground where drilling in the early 1970's reported strong zinc values in one drill hole with no follow-up. The intercept suggests proximity to an exhalative centre and an acid sub volcanic. A number of untested airborne conductors are also present on the claims. Base metal mineralization in this type of setting warrants additional evaluation. Follow-up work will consist of a grid with a magnetic survey and a deeper penetrating geophysical survey. An exploration program will commence on this ground early August, 2009.

Following further data compilation and review of Ontario Government assessment data, including detailed airborne geophysical surveys, the Company is planning a detailed budget and exploration program to identify potential drill targets.
