Vancouver, BC - Bayfield Ventures Corp. (TSX.V: BYV) (FWB: B4N) announces that further to its News Release dated March 28, 2007, the Company has paid the sum of $5,000 and issued 10,000 common shares in connection the acquisition of a 100% interest in the mineral rights to one (1) patented mineral claim comprising 160 acres located along the east border of the Company's Claim Block "C" property.

The new property is located in the southeast portion of Sifton Township, and is well located to the immediate west of the #17, the #433, and the new ODM gold zones of Rainy River Resources property. These claims are contiguous to, and form a portion of the Company's now 900 hectares Claim Block "C" property located in the Rainy River district, Kenora Mining Division, northwestern Ontario.

The common shares issued under the agreement are subject to a four month hold period, under applicable securities laws and imposed by the TSX Venture Exchange, expiring August 3, 2007.
