Barkerville Gold Mines Settles Class Action Suit For $250,000

04:15 PM EDT, 04/02/2018 (MT Newswires) -- Barkerville Gold Mines (BGM.TO) said after market close Monday it will pay $250,000, covered by its insurer, to settle a class-action lawsuit relating to a 2012 mineral resource estimate for its Cariboo gold project.

The company said the settlement of the suit, launched in 2016, included no admission of wrongdoing or liability. The suit had been claiming damages of $9.9 million.

The company's shares closed Monday up $0.02 to $0.64, not far from the 52-week low of $0.60.
