Regarding ¶ 5 - as suggested by another poster, 2800 pages is an abnormally long 43-101 Technical Report and I would definitely think that it set off some flags.

Regarding ¶ 4 - I would posit that management wasn't in a posession of the "material news" until it was internally deemed too late or too close to the deposit of the Technical Report.

I would speculate that the CTO will last at least until next week if not for a few weeks. It is unfortuante, but the anticipation and delay will have us all up in arms. At the end of the line, I will manage my position based on price action.
