In some manner of another, as I posted last month, this situation is like being between a rock and hard place... if all work together with a little more patience (ugh) it will work itself out. Especially the FAA and Goodrich are feeling a little pinch bout now, the consequences of a poor resolution will bring on legal action no doubt and nobody wants to go down this road. Yippsy declared it a pass, so they can fall back on that determination...and let it "slide". There is wiggle room here i believe. Baltia only is looking for a fair shake and simple cannot be denied as that would show favoritism toward the entire industry using these same slides. Think of this-Baltia is actually in the driver seat (cockpit) so to speak. Should this go to court it will open up a can a worms that will be felt by many carriers as they too without a doubt have faulty slides in operation. FAA would prefer to resolve this in a fair manner. The industry affected will all of a sudden be smoozing Baltia (FAA too but silently) should they deny a pass. NO telling what kind of tom foolery has gone on in addition which has greatly extended this entire process of certification. There is no doubt in my mind this is a pass in some form that will give us the green light.
