I spoke to someone at last night's debriefing, and although he couldn't release too much to me for fears of stepping over regulatory boundaries, he did tell me the following:
First of all, the agents speaking (more than one) praised the 12 stewards, the Pilot, co-pilot, and the flight engineer for their work, and at least one wished they had filmed the drill for use in future training exercises with future airlines.
The crew once again broke a record (and broke their previous record)....doors open and slides deployed in 10 seconds or less.
Not only did they praise last night's crew, but they also took the opportunity to praise Baltia and the rest of her staff for all they had done over the passed months.
My contact's final statement.....and no, he wasn't going to spill the beans about the results.....but he did say that he was thoroughly impressed with the level of professionalism that Baltia exhibited and the accolades that they received from their government counterparts.
Sounds to me like Baltia is ready to spread her wings and fly with her older and more experienced (though maybe not nearly as professional and prepared) fellow airlines.
Godspeed Baltia.
It is time to show the world what you are made of!
