** Q1 gold production rises 81 pct due to strong performances of certain mines; gold revenue more than doubles

** U.S.-listed shares of gold miners rise between 1-5 pct in early trading on rising tensions between U.S and Russia over Syria

** More than 367k BTG shares traded, ~1x their 30-DMA

** BTG down 4 pct this year, had soared 31 pct in 2017 (Reporting by Amy Caren Daniel in Bengaluru)
