The company whose shareholders were better than its management
Verno75 - Absolutely Excellent Fully Described info! Thx VM!
BTW Everyone be aware of what I found - after spinning my wheels calculating my Brokers splits and assigned values I found they didn't add up to my cost of ARU. None of the four accts were accurate - one off by in excess of $11M.
I was told this is a common occurrence they encounter when splitting one Security Position into Shs & Wts vs straight exchange of shs or straight dollar amts.
As such this info isn't meant to be used for Tax purposes or any purpose really other than allocate the accurate Shares and Warrants for which u are entitled to recv.
They said it's impossible for the computers to split each acct's costs each using different Share & Dollar amts accurately when splitting one security holding into another's Shs plus Wts.
I was told they'd plug in any nbrs I requested should I want their figs to match mine. I was surprised to learn this but I've long respected this Rep's knowledge & assistance on other occasions so I don't really question that he's not sure of the info as he relayed it to me.
Another surprise ... their cost base for the Warrants isn't one that's been suggested to them to use say from the Tsfr Agent nor Kinross. As such I suspect we're going to see a variety of costs allocated to the Warrants between the Dealers.
I've left a message w Kinross twice today to have this confirmed but they have yet to get back to me.
Whether this info be accurate or not - you'd be well advised to check your Broker's Stmt to your personal records. Also make a ph call to your Dealer and see if u are advised different infomation than I was. If so, let us know.
A straight $10.00 per share Cash Offer would have been so much easier to coop with LOL ... but ... nothing else has been easily understood with this transaction so why should we be surprised that all our Dealer Stmts are all likely to bear different valuations!
