I am mystified by John Embry's comments to the effect that Aurelian is one of his top ten prospects (the only one mentioned) and that he hopes that the Kinross bid will fail. This being the case, why hasn't this been in evidence before now? And who amongst the major shareholders are of the same view? I guess as retail investors we just didn't have the resources or the connections to pull the resistance to the bid together. But why wouldn't a major shareholder with clout do it? Surely, a discovery with the significance of FDN would not just be allowed to fall through the cracks? Or are the economics of gold mining, bad as they may seem to be, really even a lot worse than described in intereviews like John's and the press? Baffling and frustrating.
