I mean, it makes perfect sense when you stop and think about it, right?
A government that comes to power on an anti-corruption platform, that then proceeds to execute it's mandate and utterly defeats the oligarchs, suddenly does a one-eighty and cuts a backroom deal with a third rate mining company whose presence in their country would contribute no more than .001% of GDP?
And all this at the risk of being exposed and utterly discredited, thus throwing a successful citizen's revolution and Constitutional reform into complete disrepute?
Yeah, sure. Why not?
